Join a Community of Practice

ADNA is inviting interested arts and screen practitioners and organisations to join one or both of our communities of practice.

What is a community of practice? A community of practice is a group of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do. As they interact regularly, they learn how to do it better.

ADNA’s communities of practice are held online. They are collective spaces of learning where we identify challenges and exchange knowledge. Members work together to problem solve, grow confidence, coordinate, discuss developments, and learn and grow from our shared conversations.

ADNA acknowledges the lived and living experience of people with disability and their family members, carers and supporters.

We recognise the huge contribution people with lived and living experience make to ADNA's work, disability advocacy, and arts and culture in general.

ADNA uses ‘person-first language,’ emphasising the person, not the disability. As a disability-led organisation, we also embrace ‘identity-first’ language, acknowledging disability as identity.

ADNA acknowledges the many Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia. We honour their Elders past and present. We cherish the richness of First Nations peoples' artistic and cultural expressions.
