Access Riders
Access riders are tools that help d/Deaf and disabled artists, arts workers and screenmakers communicate what they need to work safely and effectively. They can include information about communication preferences, transport, scheduling, rest breaks, support workers, Auslan, captioning, sensory access, mobility access and other adjustments.
Access riders are not a list of demands. They are a way to make access clear from the beginning, reduce guesswork and support better working relationships. This page includes resources to help artists create access riders and to help organisations understand, respond to and embed them into planning and delivery.
