Accessible Performances
Accessible performances help d/Deaf and disabled audiences experience live work in ways that meet different access needs. This can include Auslan interpreted performances, audio description, tactile tours, live captioning, relaxed performances, sensory information, accessible seating, clear wayfinding and trained front-of-house staff.
Access should be planned early, promoted clearly and delivered with care, so audiences know what to expect before they arrive. Accessible performances also support artists, producers and venues to think more deeply about who their work is for.
