Melissa Peacock
ArtistMelissa Peacock (she/her) is a multidisciplinary visual and community artist and emerging researcher based in Tannum Sands, Central Queensland. With over 30 years of creative practice, her work centres accessibility, community engagement, place, and embodied ways of making meaning. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts with First Class Honours and a Master of Arts from the University of Ballarat. She is currently undertaking a PhD at CQUniversity, supported by an Australian Government Research Training Program scholarship.
About their work
As an AuDHD woman, Melissa’s practice incorporates stim drawing, transforming rhythmic sensory movement into intuitive mark-making. Her work as a community artist explores regional and environmental narratives @acountryartspractice
