Patrick Francis

Patrick Francis is a Melbourne-based contemporary artist whose practice spans painting, drawing and illustration. Working predominantly with acrylic and ink on paper, Patrick is recognised for his expressive use of colour, distinctive line, simplified forms and highly individual visual language.

Patrick has exhibited nationally and internationally since 2009, with his work presented through major galleries, cultural institutions and contemporary art programs. His practice explores personal experience, popular culture, art history, identity and visual perception. His recent work extends into abstract and neurographic mark-making, using intuitive line, pattern and colour to create visual narratives.
